RELEASED ON DOUBLE DISC DVD
14 NOVEMBER 2005
(23 November 2005 – Japan
6 December 2005 – USA / Canada)
The 2-disc DVD set features a brand new documentary depicting The Corrs’ rise to stardom in their own words. From their first ever live gig to behind the scenes footage from recording sessions with legendary producer David Foster. ‘All The Way Home’ tells the complete story of their rise to fame, in the words of the band themselves, plus long-standing manager John Hughes, illustrated with many unseen early snapshots from the family archive, hilarious demo material and behind-the-scenes footage, some shot long before their 1994 deal with Atlantic Records in New York.
In addition, there is archive footage drawn from TV appearances, on-tour footage, many rare stills and much memorabilia, plus of course plenty of their music, both live and in the studio. All of this is tied together and commented upon with immense humour and charm via up-to-date interviews with all members of the band, adding colour to their string of worldwide successes.
Much of the 104-minute film was filmed personally by long-time Corrs’ video biographer Ciaran Tanham, while the new material and the coordinating direction of the whole has been supervised by director Rob O’Connor of Stylorouge in London.
The second disc contains twenty live tracks recorded in Geneva as part of their 2004 tour. These include The Corrs classics such as ”What Can I Do?’, ‘Dreams’ and ‘Breathless’ and performances of stunning album tracks including ‘I Never Loved You Anyway’ and ‘Queen Of Hollywood’
‘The Corrs – All The Way Home – The Story Of The Corrs’ is a must for all discerning fans of The Corrs and music fans alike.

It will be great……

One year after their last studio album, The Corrs are returning full circle with their latest album Home, to be released by Atlantic Records on September 26th.
As the title suggests, The Corrs are back to fond beginnings, defining a journey that began 15 years ago. It is a record that is held close to the bands’ hearts, compiled through a songbook of the late Jean Corr, and brought to life by the bands’ urge to bring new interpretations to traditional Irish songs.
It was Caroline Corr who first suggested a return to traditional form, since “everywhere we go in the world we are asked to do more Irish music.” Featuring the BBC Radio 2 Concert Orchestra and working with orchestral arranger Fiachra Trench and producer Mitchell Froom, who has worked with The Corrs on three previous albums, the band set out to create an eclectic mixture of songs and instrumental airs.
Recorded over six months, the making of the album became a journey in uniting both old and new. Traditional Irish songs were carefully chosen, and set to new arrangements, whilst remaining true and faithful to the core emotion of the originals. The mixture of traditional and contemporary, is one that is truly celebrated throughout Home. Whereas the predominately Irish songs are interpreted in a contemporary way, other songs such as ‘Heart Like A Wheel’, originally written by Anna McGarrigle, remain strongly Irish in sound and spirit. This spirit shines through in tracks such as ‘Buachaill On Eirne’ which is one of two tracks sung in Gaelic; a true testament to the integrity of this album, and its desire to bring together Ireland’s past, present and future.
The full tracklisting is as follows: My Lagan Love / Spancill Hill / Peggy Gordon / Black Is The Colour / Heart Like A Wheel / Buachaill On Eirne / Old Hag / Moorlough Shore / Old Town / Dimming Of The Day / Brid Og Ni Mhaille / Haste To The Wedding / Return To Fingall
This month “The Bridge” will be shown at the Cannes Film Festival. The actual date for the showing of the movie is 17th May, also Andrea’s birthday. Yet it is a private industry event, the film will be shown at a British premiere later in the year, possibly open to the general public.
The Bridge is a short film which Andrea starred in earlier this year.
